Sisselfossen is a marvelous waterfall in the Sanddøldalen in the region Nord-Trøndelag, Norway. Sisselfossen is located along road 74 between Formofoss and Sandvika.
Sissel falls, is a 100 meters high water fall that dives into Sandøla river. From the base of the falls, there is a trail up to Brynan, the top of the falls. Here is a powerful viewpoint over the pristine Sandøla river valley.
From a crossroads at Skjelbred via Aagården and beyond Merkesdalen. Easy bicycle rush with gravel road. At the end of the road there is a barbecue area and information board about Båsdalsplassen. Marked paths to Sisselfossen start at the parking lot. Nice hike about 40 minutes each way where one can experience one of Northern Europe's largest canyons. Return trip - 20 km.
